Built on a vacant site next to a substantial new housing development, this new building for B & M is a steel framed retail unit.

The building is single storey with elevations clad in masonry and micro rib composite.

As part of our appointment, we undertook a Flood Risk Assessment and Drainage (SuDs) strategy for planning submission purposes. With the site being located close to the coast, the ground was found to be extremely soft. We implemented ground improvement techniques (rigid inclusions) for foundations and the floor slab. The site was also found to be at risk of flooding.

The store opened it’s doors in June 2023 and was welcomed by the local community. It will generate new job opportunities benefitting the people of Mablethorpe.
