DAVE HAMMOND
Associate

Dave leads the Civil Engineering capability at HWA.  He has responsibility for undertaking and managing the highways and drainage design aspects of HWA projects and advising clients generally on civil engineering matters including the provision of utility services.

Dave has over 30 years’ experience within both the public and private sectors and has worked on a huge variety of schemes including the A46/A17 Newark Relief Road, M5 J6-8 Widening nr Worcester, Stanway Western Relief Road in Colchester and the Wakefield Eastern Relief Road. He was involved in the Comet Square project in Hatfield which included a transport interchange, and the redevelopment of Harlow Town Centre. He was part of the project to redevelop the former Prince of Wales Colliery in Pontefract and nearer to home, the Nottingham Science Park, NG2 Business Park, Giltbrook Retail Park and a project led by the RSPB remediating the site of the old visitor centre in Sherwood Forest.

Dave’s specialist skills include highway and drainage design, project management, contract management, site supervision, CDM Co-ordinator/Principal Designer duties, engineering feasibility studies and utilities advice.

When not working, Dave enjoys getting beaten at squash, walking and the odd pint of real ale.
