We are thrilled to welcome Joe Bright as the newest member of our team. Joe brings nearly 11 years of experience as a structural technician, having transitioned from a career in illustration. His journey into structural engineering was inspired by a family member, and seamlessly blends his passion for buildings with his artistic skills through Computer-Aided Design (CAD).
Throughout his diverse career, Joe has gained considerable experience in structural engineering, consistently advancing his skills with tools like Revit. He excels at creating innovative, clean, and easy-to-read drawings, a strength he is eager to leverage in his new role.
Joe is adept at working within small teams, engaging in idea discussions to achieve optimal solutions for clients’ projects. Clear and effective communication is a top priority for him. Joe is proud of producing precise and innovative drawings and his work is characterised by attention to detail. Focused on deepening his understanding and application of BIM technology, Joe is aiming to further develop his expertise to provide significant contributions to our projects.

He has also been impressed with our team’s attitude towards celebrating any kind of success, as demonstrated by our recent enjoyment of many cake and biscuit purchases.
When offering advice to aspiring structural technicians, Joe highlights the significance of comprehending the building’s structure, emphasising that once this is understood, everything else will naturally follow. He advises newcomers to actively seek out opportunities to ask questions and engage with engineers, as it can be an invaluable learning experience.
