The Amwell Care Home, Melton Mowbray

The Amwell is a new build care home located close to the centre of Melton Mowbray.

At The Amwell Care Home, the vision was to provide premium quality care in a luxury setting and a comfortable lifestyle to residents by providing them with a range of facilities such as, stylishly decorated en-suite rooms, private gym, impressive cinema room and a relaxing hair salon. The building comprises 80 residential care home units in a single block of accommodation with associated amenity areas.

The site is steeply sloping down from Asfordby Road with the building located immediately adjacent to the highway. The lower part of the site is within the flood plain of the River Eye which is close to the site boundary to the South West. Due to this steeply sloping nature of the site and the flood plain location, the site levels and access were critical in terms of achieving an operable facility.
