Construction of 11 modern, environmentally conscious council homes, located in the heart of the city. Designed for a diverse range of needs, the Hermit Street project features 2 & 3 bedroom houses.

The development is situated on the site of former domestic garages, 49 of which were demolished in the initial phases of the project to clear the path for construction. The proposed scheme also includes a new road for access to the site which was adopted under the Section 38 agreement with Lincolnshire County Council.

Located in the Anglian river basin and with the Sincil Dike running down the eastern side of the site, it was categorised as a flood zone 2. This required additional flood volume compensation to be provided, due to the loss of area from under the building footprints.

The scheme was procured by Lincolnshire based contractor Lindum Group through Pagabo’s medium works framework with assistance from the City of Lincoln Council. We are pleased to have provided civil and structural engineering consultancy services for this sustainable and inclusive urban development.

With the pressing demand for housing growth in Lincoln, this project is set to be transformative for the local area as well as for job creation and economic growth.
