Brittain Trade Park, Ripley

Brittain trade park involves the construction of 3 warehouses, totalling 1410m² of commercial floor space.

HWA provided services ranging from a pre-planning assessment, structural engineering design and drainage and external works. We also designed the structural steel frame and traditional mass concrete foundations for the project.

The location of the project is of particular interest with it historically being a coal mining area, complicating the pre-planning phase. Site work was undertaken to locate coal seams, ultimately determining that they would not affect the project’s foundations.

Brittain Trade Park will continue its’ industrial history, with the warehouses set to be used for automotive works.
