We were invited to the opening ceremony of the St Barnabas Wellbeing Centre and were delighted to meet the guest of honour Prof Sir Jonathan Van-Tam who opened it in his hometown of Boston.
HWA were pleased to be involved in this project to provide civil and structural design services in support of the refurbishment and conversion of an existing single storey office building. The centre is named Novak House in recognition of a legacy donation of almost £500,000 given in memory of the donor’s wife who was cared for in a hospice in London.
Our work on this project includes creating the main entrance of the building, which was formed by a steel frame structure, alongside a car park extension which doubles the amount of available spaces.
It was great to work alongside Gelder Group who were the main contractors for the project and architectural/interior/landscape designers Alessandro Caruso Architects.
