Hands-on experience for the engineers of tomorrow

Last week we said a fond farewell to our summer placement student, Sophie.

Sophie joined us from the University of Nottingham in June for a 9 week placement, designed to give her first-hand experience of working in a consultancy environment. During her time here, she put her civil engineering knowledge into practice, developed new skills, and gained insight into the industry by working on live projects across a range of sectors.

Her enthusiasm, fresh perspective, and willingness to get stuck in made her a real asset to the team, and we’ve thoroughly enjoyed having her with us over the summer.

With her CV boosted by this experience, Sophie is heading into her final year at university well-prepared for the next stage of her career in civil engineering. We wish her every success and look forward to seeing where her journey takes her.
