Exciting new project in ‘Special Area of Conservation’

We are pleased to announce our appointment by the RSPB in the redevelopment of the old Sherwood Forest visitor centre. With a new visitor centre recently opened, the site of the existing building is to be returned to an area of managed heath, wood and grassland to provide a natural habitat for birds and animals. Howard Ward Associates will provide civil and structural engineering services in this ecologically sensitive location, to remove the old visitor centre complex, with special attention to the protection of nearby ancient trees and woodland.

Working alongside Delta-Simons who will provide ecological and arboricultural support services, the work is scheduled to start in November this year.
