Cultivating a Greener Future, our 2026 Sustainability Journey

At the heart of our sustainability strategy is a commitment to continuous improvement, and we’re delighted to share an update on the progress we’ve made over the past year.

Following the completion of our latest carbon emissions review, we have finalised our 2026 Carbon Management Action Plan. We’re delighted to report that our efforts to reduce our environmental impact continue to deliver positive results, with carbon emissions now 47.1% lower than our baseline year. This significant reduction represents another important milestone in our journey towards achieving our long-term Net Zero ambitions.

Reducing emissions remains a key priority, but we also recognise the importance of supporting wider environmental initiatives that help restore nature and strengthen biodiversity. That’s why we’re proud to continue our partnership with My Square Metre, a unique micro-offsetting scheme that transforms areas of poor-quality or brownfield land into protected wildflower meadows. These carefully managed meadows provide long-term environmental benefits, capturing carbon while creating thriving habitats for pollinators and other wildlife. As My Square Metre explains:

“After 30 years, the land will either remain wild meadowland or be used for green agricultural or innovation contracts, ensuring the carbon remains sequestered and biodiversity stays intact.”

Now in our third year of supporting the initiative, we’re proud that our contributions to date have helped sequester 154 kg of CO₂, equivalent to 51.33 m² of wildflower meadow. While this may seem a modest area, its impact is significant.

The meadow space we’ve helped create is estimated to provide nectar resources for approximately 1,848 bees for life, supporting vital pollinator populations and contributing to healthier ecosystems.

Our sustainability journey is about more than meeting targets. It’s about taking practical actions that create lasting environmental value. Projects such as My Square Metre demonstrate how businesses can contribute to both climate action and nature recovery, helping to build a future that is lower in carbon and richer in biodiversity.

As we move through 2026, we remain committed to finding new opportunities to reduce emissions, improve environmental performance, and support initiatives that make a measurable difference. Every step forward, however small, helps us move closer to a more sustainable future.

Together, we’re not just reducing our carbon footprint, we’re helping nature flourish too. 🌿🐝🌼
