In March 2026, we were delighted to welcome Associate Megan to our team. Megan completed her Civil Engineering with Architecture degree at the University of Glasgow, followed by a Master’s in Structural Engineering with Architecture at University College Dublin. She achieved chartership with the Institution of Structural Engineers in 2017.
Megan brings a broad and impressive range of experience across multiple sectors, including small‑scale residential refurbishments, bespoke homes, large residential developments, schools and office buildings. Her portfolio also includes cultural and heritage projects such as theatres, museums, historic and listed buildings, Her interest in historic buildings has led to significant hands on experience working with sensitive and complex structures.
As a woman in a traditionally male‑dominated industry, Megan has built a reputation for capability, resilience and leadership. She has led both small and larger projects independently and managed teams of engineers on major projects, consistently demonstrating her technical expertise and collaborative approach.
At the heart of Megan’s professional ethos is teamwork. She is passionate about supporting engineers and technicians, sharing knowledge, and tackling technical challenges together. She believes that continuous learning is essential to good engineering and strives to take something new from every project.
Looking ahead, Megan aims to become CARE accredited, deepen her understanding of digital design, and explore ways to streamline design processes to improve efficiency. Her growing interest in quality management may well lead her toward a future technical director role.
Outside of work, Megan is committed to maintaining a healthy work–life balance. She prioritises regular exercise, seeing it as essential for both physical and mental wellbeing, and uses her time at the gym as a way to switch off at the end of the day.
We are genuinely excited to have Megan as part of our team. Her technical expertise, collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous improvement align perfectly with our values. We look forward to the fresh perspective, leadership and energy she will bring to our projects and our practice as a whole.
